The owner of a Dungloe hotel, PJ Boyle, decided to stop accepting homeless vouchers after a large protest in his town opposing the placement of homeless individuals in his establishments.
Boyle cites the "upset and unrest" in the community as the reason for his decision, despite previously engaging with local authorities to provide temporary housing for those awaiting permanent solutions.
